Making Hay!

photocrati galleryWhen it comes to weddings, some people prefer a big flashy hotel, silver service and an armful of bridesmaids to make their day.  Helen and James however, decided that their big day would be one long fun filled, down-to-earth, family packed, laid back affair.  And so in came the giant tipis in the field next to their home, an enormous bbq and a serious lack of bridesmaids in matching outfits.

Not forgetting the family dogs, a great big cheese wedding cake, and more balloons than you can shake a stick at.

The pair walked to the local church where James’ family have been getting married for generations, and where Helen’s musician pals did a fine rendition of the theme from Indiana Jones. Once they were hitched, they joined family and friends back at the tipi for a great big knees up and a few glasses of champagne.

The tipis looked amazing bedecked with an avalanche of balloons and flowers in milk churns and Helen looked every bit the part with her silvery sandals and fabulous head-dress.

Congratulations to them both and thanks to James’ mum who kept me going with handfuls of sweeties!
